There is a responsibility for parents to raise and teach their children God’s word, and an accountability of the church to provide spiritual guidance and counsel through biblical teaching to its community.

How do the parents and the church fulfill either role if there is an offense and a disconnect between the two?

We must consider how we can encourage one another to love and do good, so that we will not forsake meeting together for worship and instruction. Hebrews 10:25

Extending the Great Commission to Special Needs Families

Church4EveryChild reported that 80 to 85 percent of churches don't have any level of special-needs ministry.

That only  5 to 10 percent of the world's disabled are effectively reached with the gospel, making the disability community one of the largest underreached groups in the world.

The lack of support and daily challenges takes a great toll upon special needs families’ marriages, so much that 75-58%, end in divorce.

Behaviors do not define our children or the life they will have.

Parents with children on the spectrum face difficult challenges that seem impossible to understand and work through. 1 Joh 4:4 says, "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." God has equipped us to achieve what He asks of us. Fear and faith repel each other. Have faith in God. Trust God to instruct and guide you in all things. God showed me early on what I must do to help our child develop, grow and thrive in all things to have the life they want.  I understood the behavioral challenges, and my child was not one. They do not define who she is or what life she will have. Instead, these challenges were hills and valleys that exposed their character, gifts, and strengths that would lead to her success just like any other child. And when I felt a little overwhelmed, God had a way of showing me that my struggles were not as bad as I perceived them to be.  It can be a struggle to see challenges through God's perspective, according to what His word says.  But when we do, as it says in Romans 8:28, "... all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." And I love God.  I hope all who utilize the provided information are encouraged, feel equipped and empowered, and know it reflects God's love and hope for them.

Autism Awareness and Church Inclusion

Matthew 19:13-14 Says, One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him. But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”

Let's help all children learn the Gospel.
